Success Paradigms 101 Rave review

Success Paradigms 101: Even You Can Succeed!
Recommendation and Commentary

This is a masterpiece work from a gifted teacher, a mightily blessed speaker and a spirit filled minister of the Word of God. The book is clearly purposeful to propel a willing heart into another dimension of life just as God intended it. (Genesis 1 v 22) In Africa (the cradle of human kind) the socio-economic political milieu is an antithesis and a stark contradiction to God’s original plan for mankind. In a Psalmist fashion, Pastor Tich writes with poetic eloquence basing success principles Africans need to activate on the untarnished word of God. (Hebrews 4 v 12) Success Paradigms 101 is a practical epistle to a heart as young as a child’s, that which is willing not with adult cynicism to read between the lines but to diligently apply the success principles with a keen intention to see the results.

(II Chronicles 20 v 20) The book’s didactics will turn that heart into one that is both vision and principle driven, a heart raring to break out of a plethora of historical and contemporary limitations (slavery, colonialism, racism, tribalism, mediocrity, pessimism, identity crisis, disunity, wars, hunger, corruption, diseases, and poverty e.t.c.) that confine the trailblazing mind and the body of an African. (Proverbs 29 v 18) This book feeds that heart into pumping some life into the hands of an average dreamer to become a doer of deeds with daring courage to achieve great feats for the continent and mankind. (Joshua 1 v 8) Unlike secular motivation books, it marries success and wealth not with personal glorification (Proverbs 13 v 11) but with the bigger agenda to transform other lives on the continent and attain cumulative prosperity that will reveal life as God intended for us Africans. (Amos 9 v 13) If you are an African willing to turn around the continent get this book and glean on the heavenly wisdom therein until the pages tear off!

Xtreme Coaching

Xtreme Coaching

I was tasked with picking up the kids after school today, an assignment I try and avoid not because I don’t like being with the children but I just never seem to get the hang of finding where they are. I always have to call my wife to ask by the way how many kids do we have and where is the missing one. I am comforted to see a few other fathers going through the same predicament. Men need help God was wise in giving us helpers.

But what I found interesting in the process today was my oldest daughters demand for me to watch her swimming lesson. I tried to escape but she insisted so I eventually agreed. Imagine this the pool area is full of kids and there are some mommies around watching and there I am standing out like a sore thumb, the only daddy sitting there with three kids. All the mommies are thinking wow what a sensitive dad coming to be with the kids. I’m thinking all the assignments are waiting for me and I am feeling awkward here. Well that part of life. When the swimming began a lesson came to me. As a successful success coach, father husband author and Pastor I suddenly noticed that the kids that were coached seemed to be more confident and skilled at swimming than those that are not.

It became very obvious which kids lived in the water because they have a swimming pool at home and those that saw the water in a cup of tea or the bathtub. I learnt a few lessons that I want to share with you. If you are to stand out in your area of specialization you will need to consider these things carefully. Need I say that the darker skinned kids were at a disadvantage because they don’t naturally take to water or any other risky habit? So what are you missing out on that could make you stand out and be a champion. To be a great swimmer buy a house with a pool and get a coach.

My kids are 4, 7 and eight and they swim very well in fact my daughter who is in grade three will be representing her school in freestyle as they compete with Rudly college on Friday. But this is because my wife was a great swimmer at school and won many trophies in her days and she has always insisted that the kids learn to swim. We do extra lesson for them all through the year and we have watched them turn from hydrophobic kids to water loving swimmers. The transformation is amazing from swimming with noodles to swimming with no helps at all.

Here are the lessons
  1. You can become good at anything you focus on
  2. To become great begin by knowing where you are and where you want to be
  3. What you invest in will give you Return on investment (Are you investing in your dream)
  4. Your daily routine with determine the skills that become natural to you
  5. The mastery of a skills requires a coach who can push you to new levels of self actualisation
  6. Having a mentor watch over you causes you to perform beyond you ordinary level
  7. Motivation brings out hidden abilities that make you larger than life so get a coach

Wow when I thought on this I was so excited I attended that swimming lesson am sure will go again soon, I might just get some more wisdom.

Whose coaching you? Our e-coaching program can help you discover the swimmer in you remember “Even you can succeed” www.success101.co.za

As a follower of my blogs I am grateful to so many of you that encouraged me to write a book. Well I did with you help now lets read the book.

My Big Brother Average

I never cease to be amazed at the number of people I meet that have settled for an average life. Average has been made to be the standard. When one succeeds in their village (or a single area of specialisation), they feel like a world champion and cease to pursue bigger dreams, as if there is an intrinsic fear inside that prohibits them from stepping out of the comfort zone of the backyard. The mother throwing the small chick out of the nest of comfort births a bird’s ability to fly. Otherwise, the chick can easily settle for an average life in the nest – fed by the mother, never to discover the purpose of the feathered tools beside his body. When the mother pushes the chick away, it may appear cruel and heartless; however, it marks the beginning of the end to average.

David had older (and bigger) brothers that had settled into an average existence in the nation as members of an average army. The brothers pretended to be brave and strong towards yet they were cowardly and timid. The Bible says the Israeli army was ‘sore afraid’ (1 Sam. 17: 24). David’s brothers had settled into the army format, and they were comfortable with fighting without ambition. On the contrary, you need to make your mark on earth before you log out. We need to feel your existence in this planet. You were born for reason. Conformity is one of humanity’s greatest scourges – we all want to conform, fit in, and be acceptable (instead of profitable). Seemingly, on entering this world, life hands us a uniform printed at the back ‘My big brother is average’. This causes us to imagine only what we have seen and experienced and we settle for a life of conformity.

David’s brothers had settled into the army format and they were comfortable with fighting without ambition

Generally, in families, big brothers set the trend of what the family does. They dictate how far we can go in life. They define the boundaries. In this instance, big brothers are the things that teach us about life and how to handle the challenges that come into our lives. They become the stewards of the current reality that we live in. They tell us what is in the big city and how life in the big city is bad. But that is their experience, that is what they saw and they expect that we will also fit into that mould. I will deal with the big brother syndrome in greater detail later in the book.

Order you copy right now, you will be blessed.

Faith WORKS by LOVE

Hi I really felt the Lord speak strongly to me about this blog so I have allowed it to be longer than my unusual writings I encourage you to read this and share it with anyone you know who is going through some chronic problems. This will help them to walk out into a new place in the Lord.

Faith WORKS by LOVE

Another way to say the above phrase is LOVE WORKS. When agape (the unconditional love of God) love is at work in your life you will win all the time. Faith is the vehicle that helps you get stuff done in Gods realm and love is the fuel. We have a lot of believers that cannot walk in victory because they are not walking in love. The enemy goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour’ and we need to resist him steadfast in the faith. In other words you position in God and in His Word is your guarantee for victory over this guy who is like a roaring lion seeking to devour you. You need to make a decision whether you want to win or not, if the enemy can make you feel justified in your decision to not walk in love he will win over you.

Love covers a multitude of sins and if you chose to walk in love there will be no occasion for offense in your heart and your faith will work and get the desired results. The devil has deceived many people to thinking that church is a place where perfect people are waiting to go to heaven and when they discover that this is not true offense comes in and we fail to walk in love. The truth is church is a place where people with many weaknesses gather to be perfected by the ministry of the Word and of the Holy Spirit. He gave gifts unto men (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers) to work on the saints and equip them to be more like Christ in their conduct and lifestyle.

So church is not full of hypocrites like many have been made to believe it is made of it is made up of people whose sins have been forgiven and washed in the blood. So spiritually they are perfect and look like Jesus but naturally they are still dealing with the flesh that wants to do its own thing. Even Paul said there is a war in my members after the renewed man I want to do the right thing but the flesh wants to do something contrary. Was Paul a hypocrite? No he was human he was seeking to serve God and be a blessing to the nations just like you. Hebrews 12:12-24 brings out some interesting truth. The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul begins by advising us to strengthen the weak to make sure the body is strong then in verse 14 he exhorts us to “pursue peace with ALL people” and to live holy lives and warns that without these you will not see the Lord.

Then he warns us again on the state of our hearts towards each other, he says make sure you do not fall short of the grace of God by allowing bitterness to grow in your heart like a root that will blossom into a tree of death. Later in the chapter he tells us that we have come to Mount Zion the mountain of God the church and general assembly of the firstborn. He says these people are registered in heaven (citizens) spirits of just men that have been made perfect. Now this is deep, what he is saying is that your brother or sister that you are holding that grudge against is a just spirit whose name is registered in heaven. God loves him and accepts him as he is though he expects him to renew his mind and live a transformed life.

If God considers him just and has registered him as a citizen of Zion then what right do you have to be bitter against one that is forgiven. That is why we are encouraged to forgive even as God for Christ sake has forgiven you. If you don’t forgive other neither will you be forgiven. It’s not worth holding onto that thing, let it go forgive that person and you will be free. Faith works by love and love covers a multitude of sins. Notice verse 24 he mentions that Christ is the mediator of the new covenants and the blood sprinkled in this covenant totally deals with the sin issue. The blood that speaks of better terms and conditions than the blood of Able seals this covenant.

So lets go back to the beginning and see what that blood spoke about and what happened for the mess we are in to be this way.

Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD.” And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.”
Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother's keeper?” And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.”

(Genesis 4:1-12 ESV)

Notice that the offence or the problem started in church during offering time, the brothers were giving to the Lord and one made a mistake in his offering and became angry with his brother for pleasing God with his offering. Having been a Pastor for many years I have come to learn that people in church are at different levels of maturity. Some get offended at the way someone looks at them. The way she is looking at me says that I do not have money or they are despising me because I have no car or my hairstyle is old. Why are the rich people always closer to the pastor? How do you know they are rich or are thinking bad about you?

Cain and Able were brothers in every sense of the word but offense came in and destroyed the relationship. Did you notice what God said to Cain when the root of offense was still small. Why are you angry if you do well your offering will be accepted but if you don’t deal with this thing it will destroy you because sin is crouching at the door and its desire is for you and you must rule it. What God is saying here is so powerful, he is telling Cain and all mankind that when offence waits for you at the door it is out to kill you but you can rule it because I gave you that authority in Genesis 1:28 when I blessed you. Its up to you whether sin will overcome you on not, you are its master. Unfortunately He did not take heed to Gods words like many believers today, sin overpowered him and he killed his brother and the blood that was shed cried out for revenge and justice. The result was that Cain was separated and became a fugitive and the ground lost its ability to produce a full harvest, to get the same return on investment man had to work harder.

Do you realize that your failure to walk in love is hindering your progress, you tithing, offering, praying and serving God is not bringing to you the correct return on investment that it should because the root of bitterness like thorns and thistles in your garden choke your crop so it is with your walk with God. Ask yourself is it worth it holding onto this grudge you cost benefit analysis will tell you that you are holding onto something that has diminishing returns so sooner or later like Cain you will want to kill that person in fact holding onto the unforgiveness is equivalent wanting that person dead. That’s why the bible calls you a murderer if you hate your brother (1st John 3:15)

Let go of the resentment, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, hatred and malice that you are holding against your brother. Seek reconciliation and let God heal you, as much as lieth in you be at peace with all men. Read Romans 12:18-21 it will help you there are instruction on how to deal with this plague. Finally as an encouragement it has been proved that a lot of diseases are sponsored by offense and unforgiveness if you are able to deal with this you will overcome the devil and not be overcome. Listed below is a list of some of the diseases you will overcome.

High blood pressure
Migraine headaches
Stress
Chronic fatigue
Heart attacks
Heart failure and other heart diseases
Arthritis
Muscle and bone diseases
Chronic pain
Cancer
Depression

The list goes on and on. Research shows that unforgiveness results in stress in your body and when your body is in stress it produces a chemical called cortisol, which is a stress hormone behind a lot of the disease and dysfunction in the human body. The human body was never designed to carry unforgiveness we are made in the image and like ness of God and as such we should walk in love as God does. In fact they have also proved that forgiveness will boost your immune system. Over an extended period of time when one harbors bitterness and unforgiveness the production of cortisol will affect your heart and blood vessels thicken and restrict the flow of blood and headaches come in damage to the brain results and when your heart is weak and your brain is stressed all the other diseases come in. medically they have begun what they call forgiveness training where they train someone facing chronic or terminal disease to forgive and let go of their offenders and there has been wonderful results.

The church has known this all along from Genesis 4 God told Cain when his countenance fell and anger set in that sin was waiting by the door and he had to master it (rule over it) failure to do so opened the door to mans life and disease became a normal part of life. When I was in high school I had four major problems 1. I was depressed and attempted to commit suicide about three times. 2. I was asthmatic and could not do physical sport. 3. I had migraine head aches that would affect my studying. 4. I was not as sharp as I should have been. The solution came when I came into a love relationship with Christ and I was able to forgive my father who at the time when I was in school was filing for divorce. My mother had looked like a victim of a bad marriage’ and she was but I became so angry that my father would do this to my mother that I was unforgiving for years.

The asthma left immediately the migraines disappeared the chronic depression left I have been joyful for 22 years.  My eyes were healed I stopped wearing spectacles and guess what my mind became so creative I have birthed some amazing things in my short lifetime. I have written so many resources that are helping people. I have authored a book and I have five books waiting to be published. This is all because I was able to forgive and move on.

What are you missing out on in life because you will not forgive, if doctors can coach patients to forgive and receive healing how much more the children of God? Look at this excerpt from an article I read by Dr. Bernie Seigel.

“I have collected 57 extremely well documented so-called cancer miracles. At a certain particular moment in time they decided that the anger and the depression were probably not the best way to go, since they had such little time left. And so they went from that to being loving, caring, no longer angry, no longer depressed, and able to talk to the people they loved. These 57 people had the same pattern. They gave up, totally, their anger, and they gave up, totally, their depression, by specifically a decision to do so. And at that point the tumors started to shrink.”
[Yale Medical School]

The curse that came on Cain was reduced productivity of the land’ what would happen if you decided to walk in love? Your marriage, you job, career, business ministry or body would begin to yield more

A new study from Duke University Medical Center demonstrates that those who forgive others experience lower levels of chronic pain and less associated psychological problems like anger and depression than those who have not forgiven.

Laying the Foundations for Success

Laying Foundations for Success
As you step into 2012. I trust your ducks are in a row. I have always said that there are people that fail because the situation did not give them options then there are others that fail by default. There never was a plan to succeed so when we say they have failed its not really failure its that they never even attempted anything worthwhile.
The Bible tells us in Habakkuk 2 from verse one that you must right the vision down on tablets of stone. In other words the vision must be set permanently and clearly so it can be read and prompt a reaction in the reader. You cannot run passionately and accurately if you are not clear about what you are running for. Forgive me if I sound like a stuck record on this vision thing. My father raised me up to understand vision, when he got to talk about it was as if someone set him alight. That same passion about vision came on me and changed my life. I have seen hundreds of lives changed more by the discovery of God-given vision than by months of preaching.
King Josiah’s life was totally changed when the royal scribe read to him the book of the prophets and they stumbled across a prophecy that was a couple old hundreds years old. The prophecy mentioned him by name and said there be a young man from the house of David Josiah by name who will.... When he heard the words read to him he discovered his passion and reason for living. He tore his cloths went on a fast and was on fire bringing transforming to the nation.
How clear is your assignment and destiny? Is 2012 another wasted year before it even begins. Is your life a waste already or are you living life by design? Are you running after the God vision, or are you just existing?
Here are some simple steps that you can follow that will help you add value into your existence, I do this all the time at the end of each year reviewing what was accomplished the previous year against the set goals. I know that successful hours make successful days which in turn make successful weeks, months and years and this results in a successful life.
As a life coach I often come across people who hope that success comes like the lotto, you get a lucky number and hey there it is success on a big 2 by 4 check and cameras flashing everywhere. Well sorry to burst your bubble, there is more to it than that. In the workbook that we have been distributing we help you go through the 8 principles that are foundational for succeeding in any goal you set for yourself. The challenge often with people is that they often lack the personal motivation to follow through with each step so that they see personal success and of course that is the difference between those that make it and those that don't. Which one are you? Follow these little steps and build a hunger for success in 2012.
1. Set Goals
You need to have goals that your mind and spirit can focus on and pursue. This will include all the necessary areas IE. Relationships, money, career, family, study and so on... Do you have clearly written SMART goals? We recently did a goal setting exercise with our grade two daughter, she found it interesting and amusing. But she came out with a lot more clarity than I have seen in some adults.
To get this right think of your vision and ask yourself the question ''What do I want to achieve?'' right the answers down and you will be close to getting some goals.
Be personally accountable for your own success. You are your greatest asset, if you do nothing no one else can.
2. Write them down clearly
Become disciplined about writing things down. One of the greatest challenges for darker skinned people is we do not like to read and write. All our white friend have somewhat of a library in their homes and few of our darker counterparts have libraries. Why is this so? We do not have a high value on documented wisdom therefore we do not see the importance of writing. God says write the vision. An unwritten vision is not a vision at all.
3. Set good relationships
Get some good motivational people around you people that elude some energy and passion for life and achievement. You need people that will encourage you, rebuke you celebrate you and empower you. If your vision is worth pursuing it will need people around it to make it happen. Become an expert at spotting the kind of human resources you need to fulfill your vision.
Peer relationships, mentorship relationships, and destiny relationships
Accountability relationships all these are important. Can you put a name to each area of a person who has become that to you?
4. Visualize yourself succeed
Take time often to sit and savor the taste of success until you can clearly see that failure is not an option. See yourself hold the trophy, or the title deep. See yourself sitting in that office. See success not failure its inside you already think it through put the action plan into place and go out there and get the trophy.
You cannot achieve what you cannot see. You have to visualize the desired result and sooner or later it will manifest.
Hang around some success so you can develop a taste for it, you will not settle for anything less.
5. Stay motivated
Finally ensure that you keep up the fire of inspiration and motivation. Stay up death and positive about the vision. Nehemiah tells us the joy of the Lord is out strength. Joy will sustain you and make you creative in doing the set vision. There will be moments when you feel you will do the vision next week then on another you feel like it will never happen. Keep your eyes on the vision. A vision that does not inspire motivation and passion is a weak one you might need to look at it and pray and let God re-fire your vision. Let me close by giving tips on staying motivated about your goals.
Know what inspires and motivates you

Build the dream

Build the dream
As you continue in your self-discovery journey you will discover that there are thing that you do almost naturally because your personality and your gift set fits in perfectly to that. If you are able to focus on these natural traits and develop them you will find an area where you will excel. The Bible says ''a man's gift will make room for him and take him before great men” it also says “see a man who is diligent in his business; he will not stand before obscure men'' You ability to discover your gift set and area of assignment and work on it will bring you success and fulfillment.
The discovery of your gift set is the discovery of your life assignment. When you discover the dream you must build it and develop it. The principle of concerted cultivation is needed in Africa. Many young people go through life without ever really discovering themselves or without cultivating their gift set until it is a notable gift that causes them to stand out. I often say going to work is one of the most disheartening things to ever do; you must work hard at going to your assignment not to work. I see so many workers that are not happy, why should they be happy when they are going to work. The discovery of your destiny is the discovery of fulfillment.
Concerted cultivation simply means I discover what I am set to do and I invest time, effort money and other resources with the intent of getting some returns out of the gift. In Africa we mass produce people and give them the same education the same time the same information. We do not take time to know what is in a person with the purpose of developing people into areas of specialty. This means if you do not cultivate the giftings that are in you no one else really cares about you. You need to deliberately discover and develop yourself as an individual. If you do not enroll in an institute that will help you in this area or become a member of a good church that will work on you and develop you in a well-rounded way you will have to jump in the worker queue for the rest of your life.
One on the reasons I took on life coaching as part of my portfolio I realized that I had to give people more than pulpit ministry if they were to succeed. Life coaching has always been a passion I just did not see it that way, pastors need to equip people for living life on earth as much as we do that for heaven. Paul in a way was a coach to Timothy he helped bring the best out of him and that’s what coaches do. You need someone to read you life and help you interpret some of those things that are still a mystery.
I have two interesting personal coaches in my life and I appreciate their role very much. The first one focuses on my giftings as a person and he helps me focus those so that I am more effective as a pastor. He has assisted me with personality profile tools that have given me a clear picture of who I am and why I am. The second coach causes me pain but I love it, he is a fitness coach who makes me sweat and groan. As I do what they call “boxercise” I am getting fitter and stronger. I have always wanted to do all these things but when you do not have a coach who pushes you and helps bring the best out of you the motivation is low. My third coach helped me in a holistic way to come out of the broken home paradigm and become the great leader that I am. This is my pastor, a great man in so many ways. He brought the best out of me by teaching, training, rebuking, correcting, loving and encouraging. I would not have made it this far with him and I am eternally grateful for the input I have from him.
This brings me to the big question or set of questions that you need to answer for yourself. Your ability to answer these questions will determine your level of success.
What is my personal vision?
What giftings do I possess that will position me for success?
What personal development program should I put myself on that will enhance my chances of becoming an outstanding person in this area?
Do I need a personal coach to enhance my proficiency in the desired area of success?
Coming from a typical black family back ground I can confidently say that its easy to grow up and neglect some key factors in your life that would have made you more successful in life. I was fortunate to go to what was called a “group A school” where there was about 45 black people. It exposed me to a new way of thinking. I developed a confidence and a healthy sense of entitlement. There is a difference between people that went through the process of concerted cultivation and those that don't. Those young people that were developed stood out in the sports field and the academic field. They had the CV that was full of accolades and awards. Leadership seemed to come naturally but it was because of concerted cultivation.
I encourage you to look at each of these questions and answer them as well as you can, this will help you know yourself better and be able to plan your program moving forward. In order to build the dream and make it a reality you have to take these steps seriously. Having a coach helps because he is not as concerned about you comfort as he is about your success and significance.
I recently started a company “Success Paradigms 101” that is designed to offer you tools that are affordable, user friendly and effective.
